Ngā Manu Huia
Grades 9 to 12+
Ngā Manu Huia is created to support our young adults in learning with clarity, control, and refined discipline.
A typical practice day begins with a harirū, karakia, and a quick check-in with the group. We then move into physical and vocal warm-ups, including stretching, breathing exercises, and team-building activities to energise everyone.
Next, we focus on haka practice, where we work on learning kupu, actions, expressions, as well as coordination, timing, and technique.
Each session is tailored to meet the needs of both individuals and the rōpu allowing for personal growth and group development before we dive deeper into our performance bracket.
